Application Engineer - 3D Scanner (Remote)

Job Description

• Learn and become an expert in the use of SHINING 3D Metrology 3D scanner.
• Perform installation, training, demo and support for customers, both in-house and on-site. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
• Support sales team in the sales process, providing product recommendations for customers’ application that enhance their business efficiency.
• Stay updated with competitor information and market trends.
• Cooperate with sales team to identify potential leads and opportunities for the company.
• Serve as SHINING 3D’s primary point of technical contact for handing troubleshooting, maintenance and service.
• Represent SHINING 3D at webinars, virtual events and in person tradeshows when applicable.
• Travel required to support above listed responsibilities.

Job Requirements

• Prefer a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the areas of metrology, engineering, manufacturing, or quality control.
• A minimum of 2 years of technical related experience (3D scanner, portable arm, CMM, inspection, quality control, CAD/CAM or metrology solutions).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings for dimensional control requirements. GD&T experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn independently to find solutions to potential customer’s problems.
• Professional demeanor and confidence in presenting to a group of people.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and alongside SHINING 3D’s management and sales team.
• Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Willingness to travel.
