Bridging Skills and Technology: WSI Visits SHINING 3D to Strengthen Global Partnership

On March 5, 2025, SHINING 3D welcomed a delegation from WorldSkills International (WSI) to its 3D Vision Industrial Park in Hangzhou for a collaborative workshop. This visit marked a significant moment in the ongoing global partnership between WSI and SHINING 3D, highlighting their shared commitment to advancing skills development through cutting-edge technology.

The WSI delegation, led by David Hoey, CEO of WSI, included Alexander Amiri, Director of Sponsorship and Partnership; Jane Stokie, Director of Skills Competitions; Hua Dong, Commercial Sponsorship Specialist for WSS2026; and Chengwei Yao, Competition Specialist for WSS2026. They were warmly received by Tao Li, Chairman and CEO of SHINING 3D, along with executives including Sunny Wong, General Manager of the International Business Division.

In 2024, SHINING 3D officially became the Global Industrial Partner (GIP) of WSI, a milestone event that further solidified the partnership between the two companies. As a pioneer in 3D digitization technology, SHINING 3D injects innovative power into the WorldSkills Competition by providing high-accuracy 3D scanning solutions, and helps the cultivation and development of global skilled talents.

The event began with a welcome address from Tao Li, who emphasized SHINING 3D’s dedication to fostering innovation and empowering future talents through high-accuracy 3D vision technologies. Exploring SHINING 3D’s Innovations

During the visit, the WSI delegation was given an exclusive tour of SHINING 3D’s facilities, where they witnessed firsthand how high-precision 3D scanning and printing technologies are transforming industries such as manufacturing, education, design and dentistry. The team showcased real-world applications of these technologies, demonstrating their impact on skill development and industrial innovation.

Rebecca Khoo, Sales Director of APAC/MEA led the presentation, explaining how SHINING 3D’s solutions are revolutionizing workflows, enhancing precision, and enabling new possibilities across various sectors. She also highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to integrate these technologies into global skills competitions, ensuring that participants are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in their fields.

During the visit, Hua Dong and Chengwei Yao provided an overview of the sponsorship and partnership opportunities for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 (WSS2026).
